The procedure of hair transplant
The procedure will start by knowing the desire of the patient. First of all, we ask the patient about his/her wish like how much coverage he/she wants and what kind of hairline he/she looking for. Then our trichologist assesses the scalp and done trichoscopy analysis and folliscopy tests.
2. Pre-Operative Assessment
Pre-operative assessment only requires some blood tests and the vital stats of the patient.
3. Hair Transplant Procedure
A surgeon will numb the scalp. Then to give the hair a proper depth, angle and direction, slits are made by the surgeon. Then with the help of an FUE machine, harvesting of the graft from the donor area is done.
Then micro-graft (a bunch of 2-4 hair follicle) is extracted and then with the help of a specialised forceps, the hair is implanted to the recipient area.
After 6-7 hours including 2-3 breaks in between, the procedure patient goes back home on the very same day. Then the patient is called after 3 days to remove the bandage and 1st head-wash is done at the clinic.
After a regular followup, the hair will start growing from the third month. Full hair growth will take around 7-9 months.
